  • Welcome to the Steamboat Springs Early Childhood Center!
This public school early childhood program is committed to serving all children, both with and without special needs, in an inclusive preschool environment. It is the belief of the Steamboat Springs School District that students with varying needs and abilities will benefit from working together in the same classroom. The provision of inclusive educational services to young children promotes their potential for learning and enhances their understanding of, and respect for others.
NWBOCES special service providers and our education staff provide activities that include all children, as well as specific activities for children with individual education plans (IEP). These activities are done within the classroom environment, and complement the learning that is already taking place.
  • High-quality Preschool
"Children who attend high-quality preschool enter kindergarten with better pre-reading skills, richer vocabularies, and stronger basic math skills than those who do not," says NIEER director W. Steven Barnett, PhD.
  • Where are we?
We are located on the corner of 8th Street and Aspen Street. If you have questions or would like to register, please call 970-871-3177 or 970-871-3198.
